Documentary Family Photography | changing the world for you
A note to you from C & C’s Mom:The best way I can describe my experience of having a sweet photographer come into my house and capture us just being us would be as perfect. My Day in The Life session was an experience that I could do every month. Why you ask? Because at this time I don’t own a time machine that can take me back to the day my children were 7 and 9 playing board games in the living room or the laughs I shared with my husband in the kitchen while writing a grocery list. But I do have the pictures to remember these moments. This opportunity allowed me to have a photographer capture my life and freeze these special moments not only in my heart and memory, but also in an amazing picture.
“I wouldn’t change you for the world, but would change the world for you.” When someone asks me about our life and the impact that autism has made in our life, I always think of this quote. My children are my life I wouldn’t change them for the world. In every waking moment I wish I could take his disability away, but I can’t. Because I can’t, I have made it my priority in life for them to have a place in this world where they can succeed, be accepted, loved, and cared for. In my family we have learned to take one day at a time and breath. We have learned that nothing is impossible and that with love and care for each other autism doesn’t define us, it empowers us.
